About

I've been obsessed to a greater and lesser degree by toy soldiers ever since I was 11 or so. I think that the first miniature I ever painted was a GW Wood Elf War Dancer, but I'm not sure, it's a long time ago!
Since then I've painted hundreds of miniatures, both fantasy and sci-fi. I even ended up working for GW as a painter for a few years but since I left there over 10 years ago Real Life took over and I lost track of the hobby.

Recently I decided to pick up a paintbrush again, purely out of nostalgic reasons but I've found that I'm really enjoying painting again. I only have a small amount of time a day available and I have many other creative pursuits to squeeze in such as painting, sculpting or jewellery making, but I still try to paint some miniatures for at least 30 minutes a day or so.

This blog is all about miniature painting, sculpting and restoring damaged vintage miniatures. Some posts will be stage-by-stage affairs, others might simply be Work In Progress or finished shots. There's no particular theme or aim to it, just take it as it goes and see where we end up!
